Vanguard Cigar Club, Bringing Cigar Lounge Smoking Back to Branford Connecticut

A local cigar retail store and smoking is set to return to the shoreline town of Branford this January when the all-new Vanguard Cigar Club opens its doors.

The new cigar club will be located at 803 W. Main Street, Branford, adjacent to Five Guys and Jersey Mikes Subs. Vanguard will boast a cigar menu of more than 100 premium brands, including two signature cigars available only at the Vanguard. Vanguard retail cigar shop is open to the public - and features a broad selection of imported cigars, cigar supplies such as lighters, ashtrays, humidors, gift boxes, and more. Vanguard also offers exclusive individual and corporate club memberships.

"We've taken significant steps to make all of our guests feel welcome, even those who may not have ever set foot in a cigar bar before," said Randy Foster, founder of Vanguard Cigar Club. Over the last twelve months we have visited more than a dozen other cigar venues in multiple states to familiarize ourselves with differentiating factors that focus on the customer experience and to design and layout our lounge with attention to everything from our customized air purification system to the type and placement of chairs, art work and lighting. Our goal is to set Vanguard apart from most other cigar bars, which have tended to take on a sports bar persona, said Ian Foster, owner and manager.

Ever since the areas only cigar bar, Branford Cigar & More, shut its doors after losing it lease, Branford and shoreline cigar smokers have been longing for a local cigar lounge where patrons can relax and savor this favorite past time and enjoy their favorite beverage with a perfectly matched cigar.

The new Vanguard Cigar Club interior has been designed by Margaret Foster, reflecting the prestige and indulgence a fine cigar represents. Every member of the staff is part of the family and it is this connection that drives the success of the company and attention to detail.
